Meet our Artist Ambassadors - Vé Boisvert

The third in a series of interviews with our newly appointed Artist Ambassadors Board, we caught up with Canada-based painter Vé Boisvert.

Q: Could you start by introducing yourself to our community?

I am above all a lover of Life. Born in Longlac, a small village bordered by lakes and forests in Northern Canada, I am an outdoor lover. I seek inspiration during my time spent in nature. I now live and create in Québec City. I exhibit my work in western Canada, Montréal and Charlevoix, Québec. When I am with my brushes and spatulas, I feel so alive and happy. Every stroke in a piece is a liberation in itself. It allows my soul to express itself without any limitations and to connect with the present moment.

Q: How long have you been on Artfinder and what has been your experience so far?

I’ve been on Artfinder since 2017. What I love about Artfinder is to be able to connect with both art collectors and other artists from around the globe. Artfinder is just a not a regular selling platform it’s a community. I love how user-friendly the platform is, as technology isn't my forte. The Artfinder Team is always there to support us when we have any concerns or questions about our shipments. They offer us some tools, inspiration and support.

Q: What made you want to become an artist?

I think I’ve always been an artist since I was young. I love to find beauty in the small things of life and then to transpose it in my art. I could personally not see myself at a desk from 9 to 5. I was meant to create every day. My heart is like an explosion of colours and my soul need to express itself with intensity. I was born to be a painter.

Q: What does the Artfinder community mean to you?

The word that comes to me when I hear Artfinder community is empowerment. This is a community where artists around the globe can express their true colours. The Artfinder Team is there to support its artist in every way possible. Online community takes on even more meaning in the context of the pandemic. It keeps artists from feeling isolated no matter where they are in the world. Artfinder allows artists to connect to art collectors in as many countries as you could dream of.

Q: What do you hope to achieve by being part of the Ambassadors Board?

I hope to be a good voice for all the artists and to create solidarity between them. I also have some technical suggestions according to shipments, international sales, the visuals, the sales dashboard etc. I would love to inspire other artists to join the community. I would also love artists to feel even more connected to the platform.

Q: What project/artwork are you currently working on?

I am currently working on a red, white and pink series. I think we need more love in our world right now. I think that this colour palette is soothing for the soul.

Q: If you could only use one art supply for the rest of your life, what would it be?

It would probably be my favourite bold spatula that I use in almost each painting.

Q: Do you have a final message for our community?

I am so grateful and happy to showcase my artwork on Artfinder. Thanks to the artfinder team who are so dedicated to their mission to democratise art. On our first meeting, I could really feel that each member of the team are passionate about Artfinder.
